Tom Poole serves as the ethanol economics and policy manager regional for the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council, a non-profit organization that operates globally to promote the use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol.
In this role, Poole supports support the Council’s ethanol team through data analysis and policy recommendations while providing industry representation at international forums in energy and transportation.
Prior to joining the Council, he most recently served as an international marketing specialist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service.
Poole holds a bachelor’s degree in crop sciences and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois.
