Ellie Yan

Program Manager

Ellie Yan serves as the program manager in China for the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS).

In this capacity, Yan assists the country director in planning, implementing and evaluating programs for all commodities represented by the Council, with responsibilities spanning annual program budgeting, customer relations, government affairs and institutional partnerships.

Prior to joining the Council, Yan worked in multiple organizations, including Phoenix Media, Tsinghua University and the Netherlands Agri-Food & Technology Center. For nine years, Yan served as a program officer in a government institution under the Ministry of Education, contributing to the global outreach of Chinese language and culture, with a particular focus on building a network of people committed to fostering mutual understanding with China.

Yan holds a bachelor’s degree in German Language from Jinan University in Shandong Province, China.
