More than 450 international buyers and end-users of ethanol and its co-products from more than 40 countries met in Washington, D.C. in October for Global Ethanol Summit 2025 (GES) to engage with experts from around the world on global ethanol opportunities and connect with industry partners.
The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council’s Corn Sustainability Assurance Protocol (CSAP) saw promising expansion, with arrival of the first-ever shipment of corn fermented protein (CFP) certified under the CSAP in a container to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and further outreach to buyers in Japan and other nations.
U.S. corn exports in marketing year (MY) 2024/2025 rose to 72.5 million metric tons (2.85 billion bushels), valued at more than $16 billion.
Exports of U.S. ethanol rose 23.3 percent in marketing year (MY) 2024/2025 to more than two billion gallons. U.S. ethanol was exported to 70 countries, led by Canada, the European Union and the United Kingdom.
At its 65th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting in Grand Rapids, MI in July, U.S. Grains Council members voted and passed an organizational name amendment to change from the U.S. Grains Council to the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC).
