The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council maintains a long-established office in the People’s Republic of China that works with private industry, state‑owned enterprises, and government agencies to develop markets and enable trade. The Council’s Beijing office continues to serve as its on‑the‑ground hub for market development, technical assistance, and trade servicing.
With a continuous presence in China since the early 1980s, the Council has accumulated decades of relationships and technical expertise that it leverages to advance Chinese food security, food safety, and sustainability goals through trade and technical cooperation.
Over its long presence in China, the Council has supported the modernization of the livestock and feed sectors, including activities tied to the industrialization of the swine sector and the development of dairy technical training programs, such as the Sino‑U.S. dairy training initiative with partner operations. More recently, Council staff and members in China have continued outreach and technical engagement at major industry events, including the China Animal Husbandry Expo (CAHE), promoting U.S. feed grains and co‑products such as DDGS and newer ingredients like corn‑fermented protein (CFP) as part of broader livestock nutrition and feed‑supply solutions.
In recent years, the Council’s scope has expanded to include bio-products (ethanol and related co-products), while continuing efforts in market development, technical assistance, and trade facilitation in China.
