With its many trails, sculptures, and gardens, Milwaukee offers plenty of outdoor adventures. Visit the Milwaukee County Zoo to see more than 3,000 animals, or take a kayaking tour along one of the city’s historic rivers.

Milwaukee Kayak Company

Milwaukee Kayak Company (MKC) is a local outdoor recreation business founded in 2013 by Beth Handle, who grew up on Milwaukee’s north side and has deep ties to the city’s riverfront communities. The company’s mission is to provide healthy, fun, safe, and unique outdoor paddling experiences for residents, visitors, and tourists, while promoting Milwaukee’s rivers, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement

All boats are currently due back by 7:30pm

Milwaukee County Zoo

The Milwaukee County Zoo is a 200-acre zoological park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, operated by the Milwaukee County Parks Commission and accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. It opened in 1892 at Washington Park and moved to its current site in 1961. The zoo houses 3,100 animals from 350 species.

National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum houses the world’s largest collection of bobbleheads and features dozens of exhibits related to the history of bobbleheads, making of bobbleheads and much more.

Hours: Monday-Friday: 10am-6pm; Saturday-Sunday: 10am-5pm
Admission: Last admission is 30 minutes prior to closing. $5

Sculpture Milwaukee

Sculpture Milwaukee is an artist centered organization bringing world-class contemporary art to public spaces downtown and beyond

The Basilica of St. Josaphat

The Basilica of St. Josaphat is a ministry of the Conventual Franciscan Friars on the South Side of Milwaukee in Historic Lincoln Village. The Basilica is a Franciscan center for prayer and spirituality, inspiration and beauty. It is home to a vibrant Roman Catholic parish.

Milwaukee Public Market – Fresh Food. Local Vendors.

Milwaukee’s iconic food and event destination, the Milwaukee Public Market is a bustling community hub for Milwaukeeans and a can’t-miss experience for out-of-town guests.

Mitchell Gallery of Flight

The Mitchell Gallery of Flight is a non-profit aviation museum located inside Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. Their mission is to inspire present and future generations by preserving and sharing southeast Wisconsin’s flight heritage.

Discovery World Science and Technology Museum

Discovery World is a premier science and technology museum in Milwaukee, offering interactive exhibits, educational labs, and hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages.
