U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC) Office Manager, Accountant and Administrator Ana Livia Guerra was recognized for 25 years of service to the organization during its 23rd International Marketing Conference and 66th Annual Membership Meeting last month in Panama City, Panama.
“I knew I had found the place to develop my career within two days of joining. My first position was as an administrative assistant and I really liked the atmosphere,” Guerra said.
“I have witnessed many changes and seen people come and go, promotions, corporate image changes, office renovations and relocations, program implementations, process updates. Looking back, I’ve seen a little bit of everything!”
Guerra said one of her first memorable experiences was a visit to the Council’s former office in Moscow, Russia to meet other accountants in the organization and understand the scope of the Council’s activities.
Now, Guerra takes pride in supporting new colleagues from the Council’s international offices by guiding them through organizational procedures and administrative requirements.
“Our current President and CEO Ryan LeGrand was previously the director of the Mexico office. Seeing how my former director was promoted to CEO meant a lot to the team in Mexico. It tells you we’re doing something right,” Guerra said.
“I feel very honored to be part of this group of people. It’s easy to say, but reaching 25 years of collaboration with the Council has been such an important part of my life—a quarter of a century!
Please join the Council in congratulating Ana for her 25 years of service!
